Bikes, Blues & BBQ 2009

Marty and I went out to BBB 2009 held out in Fayetteville, AR.  Went out with my cousin Fred and his wife and some of his friends.  This was our first "cruiser" ride together beyond a few local 70-80 mile rides.

We loaded up and trailered out on Thursday... got there and rode around town a bit, etc.  Went down to the main strip and checked out the action and some of the vendors, etc.  Wasn't that busy which was nice.  Pictures from Thursday

Friday we did about a 150 mile ride stopping for about 2 hours or so up in Eureka Springs.  Was really glad Marty got to enjoy the ride and see the town.  That night we went to the BBQ competition and sample some of the food, etc.  Also got to look at many other vendors (this was at a different place then the normal strip).  Bought some T-shirts, hung out, checked out bikes, etc.  Pictures from Friday

Saturday I led us on a route to Cliff House Inn for lunch.  Did 209 miles that day and the weather was perfect.  Didn't run into any real crowds on the rides which was quite nice!  Paid to stay away from the published BBB routes.  Went down to the main strip again that night and boy was it crazy busy.  Ate down there, checked out a few more vendors, then headed back after the long day.  Pictures from Saturday

Sunday (today) was a bit more relaxed... basically loaded up, said our goodbyes and headed home.  Good time overall, and Marty seemed to enjoy the riding, and now really appreciates Arkansas
