Mineola Ride

Jason (Soloman) from TWT wanted to do a ride to Mineola, so I helped plan a new route out there and back, and 7 of us headed out.  Weather was a bit cool in the morning (46), but it warmed up nicely (78) in the afternoon.  As usual, we stopped at the great East Texas Burger Co. for lunch.

My GPS/Map log got separated into two parts:  Morning and Afternoon.

A few pictures from the day are here.

New Tire, etc.

Well, I've missed some entries... perhaps I'll post them soon :)  I'm still riding, as the weather here has allowed it!

We are doing a ride to Mineola tomorrow (back to the East Texas Burger Company!), and my rear tire is finally showing cord.  With 12,100 miles on the bike now, I replaced the back tire with another Michelin Pilot Road.

I'm not positive, but I believe I got around 6500 miles out of the previous tire, and considering that included a 1600 mile trip to Arkansas tearing up the roads, the Fall IBI in Texas Hill Country, and many other rides.... not bad!  I'll track the new tire mileage better this time around.
